General Municipal Election
The City’s next General Municipal Election will be held on November 7, 2006, in consolidation with the Statewide General Election. The election is for two City Council seats in Districts 2 and 4. District 2 is in the southwest portion of the City and District 4 is in the northeast portion. The City Charter requires that you must be domiciled and a registered voter of the respective district for at least 30 days prior to the opening of the nomination period. The regular nomination period will run from July 17 to August 11, 2006. If an eligible incumbent fails to file by August 11, there would be an extension until August 16, 2006.
Campaign Committee
Anyone wishing to form a campaign committee and begin collecting
contributions should obtain the appropriate forms from
the City Clerk's office.
