SPRING BREAK FUN AT PARKS APRIL 9th to 13th 2007
MARCH 27, 2007 - The City of Downey, Community Services Department, is offering 'Spring Break Fun at the Parks - Spring Spectacular," Monday, April 9 through Friday April 13th
"Spring Break Fun at the Parks," is a free program which will be offered at Apollo, Dennis the Menace, Furman, Golden and Rio San Gabriel parks from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with activities scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The program will also be offered at Brookshire and Crawford from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children ages 6-12 will enjoy a daily program that includes: lunch with the Leader (bring your own lunch), art/crafts, Spring Fling Party, and out door activities. Children are free to come and go at any time, however, they are encouraged to stay at the park sites.
Registration is required and can be completed at the park sites. Those who register before
April 9th can do so Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at park sites. Registration will be accepted until the program concludes. Flyers regarding the program are available at the park sites and City Hall.
