TENNIS COURTS RESURFACED

 

The City of Downey Community Services Department is pleased to announce that the tennis courts at Furman and Independence Park have recently been resurfaced and look terrific. If you are looking for a public place to play, the courts at each of these parks have recently been reopened and you are invited to take advantage of your neighborhood parks.

 

Furman Park is located at 10419 Rives Avenue and Independence Park at 12334 Bellflower Boulevard. Furman Park has four courts and Independence Park has eight courts. Each park gives you the ability to play at night under the lights.  Independence Park can be reserved each evening (Monday – Friday) starting at 5pm for a fee of $5 per hour by calling (562)803-4982.
