The use of the Parks and Recreation Department facilities is for family or neighborhood related social functions. The facilities may not be used for business use or monetary gain that results from the exchange of money or events that conflict with City of Downey programming. No advertisement, petitions, or solicitations is allowed.
How to Make a Reservation
- In Person reservations can be made a minimum of (10) ten business days to a maximum of (6) six months prior to the scheduled event.
- All reservations forms must be signed and fees paid before reservation request can be considered for approval.
- Reservations can be made in person or online and are based on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations will be taken by telephone, email, mail or fax.
(Please note that online reservations are required to be made at least (14) fourteen days in advance of the event)

Please note that it is the renter's responsibility to read all rental policies. You will be asked to sign, either electronically online or physically in person, agreeing to follow all policies prior to a permit being issued. Failure to follow the policies will result in the retention of your security deposit.
Items to Bring
Please bring the following to the Parks & Recreation Department Office:
- Driver's license or valid ID showing proof of age. (Must be 18 or older to reserve facilities)
- Full payment (cash, check, or credit/debit card)
- $52.00 security deposit
