The City of Downey offers a FREE summer workshop for 7th - 12th Grade boys students who reside in Downey.

The Young Men Rise Up Camp addresses the unique set of challenges facing young boys through a series of interactive presentations, interactive activities, and team building sessions led by male leaders in the community.

 Participants learn: 

• Maintaining a Healthy Lifestyle
• Interview Skills 
• Personal Finance 101
• Accessing Resources
• Mental Health
• Social Media/Cyber Bullying
• Internet Crimes/Legal Aspects
