Downey LINK Fares

The fare is fifty cents (.50¢ ) a ride or one Downey LINK bus ticket.

Transfers to the other Downey LINK routes when transfers are sequential are free. Riders may transfer from one Downey LINK route to another—ask the Driver for a transfer. (Note: Metro transfers or passes are not accepted on Downey LINK and Downey LINK transfers are not valid for use on Metro vehicles.)

Downey LINK bus tickets are sold in a booklet of 30 use tickets for $15.  Bus ticket booklets are available for sale at the Transit Depot and the cashier counter at Downey City Hall.

Persons with a disability with a valid ACCESS Services identification card ride free.

Downey Dial-A-Ride Fares

Fifty cents (.50 ¢) each way or one Dial-A-Ride transportation ticket                                                      Please have exact change. If you indicate on your application you may need a self-provided attendant, your attendant is free of charge. 

Downey Dial-A-Ride fare tickets are sold in a booklet of 20 use tickets for $10.  Ticket booklets are available for sale at the Transit Depot.  

Other Bus and Rail Fares

Transit Access Pass Card (TAP) is a plastic card (a virtual TAP card is available on the app) that can be used to pay fares for Metro and 25 other agencies across Los Angeles County. 

You can have your TAP card electronically loaded with passes at Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey. Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, closed during City Holidays. The cashier's counter is located on the ground floor directly across the lobby from the front doors.    Sells: Stored Value, Passes (Call first to confirm availability of passes sold at this location, (562) 904-6664)

Downey LINK and Downey Dial-A-Ride does not accept TAP as fare payment.
