  • Neighborhood watch presentation to discuss fire pit safety

Q: What are examples of Public Outreach?

A: Examples of public outreach are events Including but not limited to…

  • Wanting fire department personnel to participate in a ceremony for demonstration purposes. (i.e Graduation, Opening day, Holidays etc.)
  • Having a fire engine in a support role for a private function

Q: Can I have a fire engine show up for a party?

A: Fire department personnel are a resource supported by taxpayers for the                                 benefit of the entire community for the purposes of public safety.  To commit a                     resource to private event would be unfair to the rest of the citizens and                                   could potentially put them at risk.  *During the Covid-19 Pandemic drive-byes were               considered but not a common practice.
